Received two seperate unsolicited text messages from short code 58497. The content of the first message is "MobibroIQ Fun Facts billed at $9.99/mo. Msg&Data Rates May Apply. Reply HELP for help. Enter UR password on the website to continue: 3397" The second message contained "Guess What? Children laugh about 400 times a day, while adjults laugh on average only 15 times a day. For HELP call 18668611606" I replied "Stop" and no confirmation message came back, and called the 866 number. The number goes to some call center based in India, whom I asked what it the name of the company and address and how did they get my number and why did they send an unsolicited message, the first rep declined to answer any of those questions other than to offer to cancel subscription, the second rep p

Same thing as reported. I got the text saying that I was going to be billed $9.99 a month. I replied "help" and didn't get an answer. I replied "stop" and didn't get an answer

Same thing here - I contacted the 866 number listed above from my VoIP line and the guy told me that I must have signed up for their service, otherwise how would I get there number or text messages? At that point I said something about rooting for Pakistan to kick their ass in Cricket. My carrier is ATT, if you use them forward the text message to 7726, it will reply at that point for you to enter the origin number of the text. Because I am bored, I think I am going to call them back and have some fun. I don't think they are going to like what I have to say about Ghandi.

Got the same message. I have AT&T. Tried to reply stop and got no response. Haven't tried the 866 # yet. What do I do??

I called the number, used option #3, and a female rep answered, said she was from an after-hours support place. I told her I was getting the unsolicited messages and wanted them to be stopped, she asked for my phone number, which I gave, and then asked my name, which I refused. She told me the messages would be stopped, and that I should get a confirmation message in the next 24 hours; if I need help, to call during reg bus hours. She said the company was called Mobile Media Products, and that she didn't have any other information about it.

Just called AT&T. They removed the charge and put a 3rd party services block on my phone. This is a very bad scam that most people will not catch. You must call your service provider to make it stop and get a refund. AT&T rep told me that "she alone is getting 10 calls a day" about this SCAM. I posted a warning to my friends in Facebook. Consider doing the same. But, you must call your service provider NOW to make the charges and service stop. DO NOT follow the "STOP" instructions in the text. It will not help you. SPread the word!

I got the same three messages as everyone else... Does anyone know how they got our phone numbers? Is it something they got from Facebook or did AT&T sell or loose people's info?

Just wanted to give you guys some update... I called AT&T and they confirmed that my account was charged $9.99, which was going to be renewed every month after. They refunded my account and put a purchase blocker on my text messages for me, which was free of charge. They told me that this has been a big issue with text message charges and are aware of these issue. I would suggest everyone call your phone company ASAP to get a refund and have charges stopped on your text messages. Good luck!!

They will charge your directly to your phone company and will show up as a Alert Subscription, which renews each month.

got this same message, do not reply STOP, just call provider and report it as unwanted, at&t offers a free service that disables purchases without a PIN. Got a no questions refund and blocked dumb shit like this in the future!

Got two messages from this company yesterday. Replied STOP and they sent another message anyway. Calling AT&T as soon as they open this morning to get this blocked.

Got three messages overnight and replied STOP which did not work. Called AT&T and sure enough my account was charged 9.99, which they refunded immediately. I opted for the third party block of purchases without a pin number. Anyone who gets these messages needs to call their service provider immediately.

I forwarded message to AT&T at 7726. They instructed reply STOP to the message which I did but I don't know if it worked --received no acknowledgement. Thanks for the info above!

I used the STOP msg and it didnt work. I called AT&T and they gave me info to get on the National Do Not Call Registry list. The toll free number I called to cancel this unsolicited service sd they were located in Boston but clearly were somewhere forgien. Needless to say I got VERY frustrated at his English speaking skills. He said the only way he can cancel this is to have my name and number. Do not give this info to them. Obviously they got my number somewhere but they arent getting anything else! AT&T said to watch my bill next month to double check that it doesnt show up and if it does to just let them know and they will refund the amount. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

You have to call your carrier to cancel the fee.

I texted stop. It acknowledged me that it was stopped. I called AT&T and it was not stopped. I suggest everyone call.
