I text stop and they eventually said i had unsubscribed after they have sent me 5 messages and taken £4.00 from me which i am annoyed at. i text them back to say i wanted the money back but as yet no response.

who are these jerks and how do I get them to stop texting me?

I never even went to mtv.com and replying stop doesn't help a lot if people are being charged to stop some fraud texts. Block doesn't seem to work either but I did add mtv.com to my block list. I don't know how these people get our phone numbers in the first place since I don't do surveys online and I don't supply my cellphone number to anything online.

Calling their telephone number and requesting removal worked. Apparently my cell provider did not notify them of the cellular number being recycled, it was in their system for many months before I got the number.

The person I spoke with, did not identify himself, but he was helpful.

I voted for an artist when watching the 2011 Video Music Awards, but was not told I would be subscribing to continuous alerts from them. LOL I nipped that in the bud before I "paid" the consequences. No PUN intended. LOL Love, Peace, and eggroll grease! Hahaha I shoutout to sesame oil as well. A little of that goes a long way BTW

I have received 4 text calls from this company and been charged 2.04 for each one. On the first 2 calls I texted back to them with the words DROP and STOP to no avail. I then received 2 more texts from them. I have not knowingly signed up for these texts and want to stop this happening again. Can you help please?

Voted for the MTV music awards and have received 2 text messages from MTV since I voted (About 2 months ago). I replied "stop" and received a message back confirming my unsubscribing.

Voted during MTV music awards. Later started receiving spam. Replied STOP and got a confirmation that messages would stop, but then continued receiving messages. Tried twice to reply STOP. They give you a bogus phone number to call for help.
