I get these text messages from this # all day and they won't stop. Any idea how to stop them?
Enter the short code or phone number of the offending text message to find out more about the sender.

Sooo sick of getting texts frpm 68851. I have replied STOP but they don't stop.
I keep getting texts from 68851 about government grant money.. how do i make it stop!?
I keep getting texts from this number, and it's quite annoying because my phone plan doesn't allow me recieve free text, so this thing is billing me up.
It says a phone number in it but is has 9.99 usd promo after it, so I'm iffy to calling.
Number included: 1-800-235-7105
I also have been getting texts from 68851 about government grant money for the last 3 days. There should be a way to block these unwanted texts.
Received the following unsolicited text:
Reply>>>YES<< to boost your Career with job Tips! Msg &Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for Help 8002357105 9.99 usd pmo. Reply with >>YES<<<
I called the number 1-800-235-7105 and you can go through the process to stop the messages and charges. I just did it so I can't confirm if it works or not yet.
if u call the number you can add your number to the block list
If they actually cared about not spamming you, you wouldn't have to call any number, just reply STOP. They only got your number by randomly guessing it using the equivalent of an autodialer. I Googled "block text spam" and the first result is a New York Times blog post outlining how to block them outright without paying. They include instructions for AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.
Received the following text message (three times):

I've been receiving the same messages and texts back to the company with STOP and calling the number to remove me from the list did not work. I had to call my provider (T-mobile) and have them blacklist the number from my phone.
Good luck.
I get daily texts from 688-51. I have texted (texted???) back and requested removal from their list, but to no avail.
I'm hoping I can block it, this site tells you how:
http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/12/how-to-block-cellphone-spam/
I found on the AT&T messaging website that if you reply to an email-to-text message, "block", it will block that specific email address. I did this and have not received anything from this number again (yet?). Not sure if other providers have this feature. This does not work for text-to-text messagers, only messages sent by email accounts.
When you are asked to enter your phone number on the care line, you could be authorizing charges or be allowing someone to link to your phone to dial any phone number worldwide, so I would not try it. Report the number to your service provider, ATT, Verizon, etc
I replied STOP and it sent me another text saying that i am not subscribed to any services from them. Cant tell if my reply actually worked.
At least once a day. Tried opt out, did not work. This may just be a way of verifying a working number.
I have been receiving these text daily as well. I have Nextel service and I called customer support to block them. I will have to wait and see if this is this works.
try calling 800 235 7105 and follow the prompts, it will take your number off the call list.
I replied "STOP" and immediately received back "Your are not subscribed to any services. For more support call 18004166129 or e-mail 68851@sms-helpdesk.com"
The original text solicits job search tips.
I called the 800 number and they suggested calling my cell phone provider (ATT) to stop the messages. I will try that next. What I want to find out is who owns the 68851 sms short code. If I do I will post it. It's getting annoying already.
