who is this?
I actually got a text from the verizon website, which comes as vtext. It instructed me to call the number. I called and it said that my debit card had been deactivated and they could help. It was a recording. It ask me to type in my social security number and my debit card number. I can't believe people actually fall of this scam!

It was a recording. It ask me to type in my social security number and my debit card number. Typed in 123456789 it then asked for a card number. Typed in 16 random digits it then told me my card number was not valid. It never told me what card I was supposed to check. It just said my prepaid card. Hung up after that.
They didn't give me a reply, they just asked me to call the number and then immediately asked for my social security number
I was asked for my social security to verify my identification for a prepaid card. I hung up once they asked for my SS.
Really? Texting a network security technician?
Thinking about flooding this system with some shenanigans.
DO NOT fall for this idiocy.
Going to have some fun :3
Also not sure if STOP worked but said No anyways.
(Smi One) Call 7202238202
Do not respond by text or call the #. They will know they hit a working cell #!!
Thanks all for your help! I got this as a vtext as well and was glad I didn't even open it after reading this! Mine said to call that 720.... number for an "issue" kinda scary at first but I guess that's how they get ya!
Thank you everyone! I was tempted to call and have fun with them but too busy. Really appreciate the info everyone has posted :-)
Got one from this number asking me to call it. I read on here where people ask for your social, so I didn't.
My text message was similar to the one 'Nice Try' received today. I am going to erase it - by the way anyone can send a text from regular e-mails to a verizon number ending with ...@vtext.com.
Got text message that said vtext [SimOneService] and the above #. Did not fall for it!
Replied stop and no but neither went through. Did not call. Follow others advice and do not call!
I did not reply and will not t unknown texts.
I gave my information and they took my money
