Got a message that said "Did you get this message" Sent "Stop" but haven't gotten anything back.

The person/program on the other end knew my name and kept calling me faggotron. It also said my life was over and that it knew my Facebook identity and would tell everyone my "secret identity."

i received a call from an unknown number. i said hello, someone repeated hello and i heard typing and hung up. i then received a text that said, can you hear me?

you guys really should pay attention to the information on this very page. Text messages from "75973" happen when some (if not all) Skype users send you a text message. I logged into my Skype account and sent my cell phone a message... on my cell phone, the text message came from "75973".

Since this is a generic source, you cannot successfully reply to it.

In short: if it's not an obvious advertisement, then it's not spam. It is most likely from someone you know. Once you find out who sent you the message, beat them until they remember to include their name when texting from Skype :)

Go to your room ALONE at 9:15 (give or take. FO NOT LEAVE until you are contacted. NO belts , hats or underwear. Do not speak of this message. Delete after reading (and other similar variations/instructions after go to your room). Want to reply STOP but will not because it may collect info from me and make matters worse. This is offensive and scary if the phone belongs to a young person- which of course is THE intent. There is a special place in HELL for these people.

Got a text saying "what's cookin good lookin" It's a Skype prank.

This number texted my husband saying "dont forget to pick up my starbucks, ill be in the shower if you call but dont worry ill be waiting for you" and other things like that. He said he swears he has no idea who it could be.....

Seriously I flipped out and now our marriage is seriously rocky....can it be someone playing a prank on us!?
