Message about claiming a certain amount of money I'm due from an accident, according to their records. With an apparent text STOP to opt out of messages, well I didn't opt in so not likely to reply to confirm my number and be charged for it.

Have already rejected this in the past so no point in replying STOP, will ignore this time.

Seems to be a SCAM - best just to ignore.

and i guess none of you had any accident as well! but still... we do not know who are those people and what they want...probably it is best to ignore as alex said ...i have received the same message many times though.. if you have any info please post here!

SMS Scammers - same message as everyone else, looks like they are doing a random marketing campaign the last few days for whatever shadey crap they are trying to pull. Best ignored, replaying will only tell them your number is live and to sell it/send more crap to it.

I just got this same text message today:

No luck in tracing the number, if I can't block it I'll just ignore it. I'm certainly not going to reply to it, as in previous comments; "they'll" know that the number is in use and take advantage. Best ignored.

Can we not report these scammers to the phone regulator?

The usual Our records indicate you may be entitled to 3750 pounds for the Accident you had...blah, blah. I agree with what has previously been said. Sending a STOP text doesn't stop them from sending it again. This will be my 3rd in 2 months!!
