My wife got a txt from this number and never clicked or responded, just deleted the message. Found a $9.99 charge on our bill this month. Not only that, but it was a subscription. But when I checked online with AT&T, the subscription showed as canceled. So they charged it once, then canceled it hoping we wouldn't see it. I honestly don't usually pay that close of attention. I was lucky to see it and follow up this time. AT&T did reverse the charge.
I have T-Mobile prepaid and they got me. Call T-Mobile and have all 3rd party charges blocked ASAP. This is more than just spam.
I noticed the $9.99 charge last month from Wise Media LLC 83660 LoveGenieTips 88872. I did not authorize this subscription. My 82 yr old mom uses this phone and does not text, I've actually set All Messages Blocking on her line a long time ago.
Called T-Mobile and the said they will credit. I asked them to block it, they said they can't. This month the same charge shows up, call T-Mobile and they said their reverse didn't work. After arguing about refusing to block it and why they can't reversed they gave me the Wise Media LLC number. Then I asked for T-Mobile supervisor. Agent come back on the phone and tells me that supervisor authorized one-time refund on my account.
Called Wise Media and they said my subscription was cancelled today.

I got this charge on my last bill and a few days ago on the upcoming billing. So ridiculous! the text was sent to my dad's phone, and he is 80% blind. He didn't know he got this stupid text. Will call phone .co. to credit the charges. People, what should we do to report the scam? LoveGenie Tips is sucking our blood! it needs to STOP! Damn IT!

Just got some monthly message from mid-January saying I will be charged but since I never asked for anything I believed it was the way to verify my number and never replied to it...
AT&T was talking about "text virus", that company is mentioned by the NYT (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/08/your-money/cellphone-cramming-gets-a-second-look.html?_r=1) but still they charge you.... it's unbelievable!! I contacted the attorney general.
Got the same texts and found out was charged $9.99 for the last two months. Called T-Mobile and they cancelled one month's charge. Sent a STOP text message back to 83660 and got an unsubscribed text back from them with a phone number 888-725-5643
Called them, just a billing company but they said they would send me a check for the two months..we shall see. Wanted to talk to GenieTips but they said they have no phone number but would note that I want them to call me..we shall see.
Saw this $9.99 charge for the first time on my account and immediately called T-mobile. I was surprised that there was no waiting and I got through to a live person fairly quickly. The t-mobile representative was very helpful. He identified the text, which was a type of Charge Download, then went ahead and refunded me $9.99. He then initiated a Block on Premium Charged Download which would prevent this type of text message down in the future. Great, this may be fluke but for this problem I am very satisfied with T-mobile service.
ALL the phone companies have to know by now that this is a scam since i see at least 3 phone co's. mentioned 'here' and after getting the 9.99 charge taken off one time by verizon from some b.s. co. called lovegenietips that i'd never heard of i was charged AGAIN this month so i went online and ended up 'here'....i called the (888)725-5643 and was asked 'are you calling to UNsubscribe? i said 'i never SUBSCRIBED but it was like i was talking to an automated person, she asked for my cell number, i gave her all 3 on our account for their DO NOT CALL list and was told we were UNsubscribed and they would send a check in the mail for 9.99 within 3 to 5 business days so, we'll see. i want to find out how and who to file a complaint with?
? Did the Reply Stop Work. First off it may have, at least according to the Tmobile rep who advised me after looking that it had been stopped. However, what i find confusing is there is no definitive way for them to supposedly determine how it got subscribed to begin with. My son remembers getting the Text and replying with STOP. I have received similar type texts for things maybe pay subscriptions or not but definitely suspicious. That being said i ignore them and i have never been charged on my phone. He responds STOP and all of sudden a 9.99 charge. While the Tmobile rep was very pleasant and helpful it certainly is BS that we have to deal with this crap even if it is only occasionally. Outcome Customer Service rep will be calling Media Wise crooks on my behalf to make sure it
Sorry. I should also add that the Tmobile rep offered to suspend all TEXTS received from single number TEXTS like whatever 83660 is. I asked her if this would block legitimate texts from companies like RedBox, blockbuster, JC Penney etc that send coupons via SMS now. She responded yes and offered a $4.99 service to be able to block any charges over like 1.99 which is ridiculous. AS i became more frustrated she ultimately came up with the ability to be able to block TEXTS from premium charge sites like Love Genie on all my phones. Not sure why that wasn't offered to begin with.
I call the toll free phone and they told me that they are just a call center taking call for Love Genie. The person told me that they were going to refund my $$ in 3 days. After 5 days no check so I call again. The person took down my complaint and I am still waiting after two weeks.

I was charged 9.99$ for subscribing to this Love Genie when I never subscribed. I called at least 10 times and they've said they would refund me the money and its been over a month and I still have not received my refund!! What should I do? Calling them every week is obviously not working.
