I was reviewing my Verizon bill and discovered that I have been being charged $9.99 a month for Premium text service I never ordered or authorized. Verizon put a block and credited 1 month's billing and gave me a # to call Hot Hot News for a refund. I called 888-734-2560 and was told that because they no longer do business with Verizon, I would have to call Verizon for a refund. That's BS and they "Hot Hot Screws" are a total rip off as far as I am concerned. BEWARE!

This is somehow a bait & switch for movie listings. I googled movie listings on my iphone, clicked for a movie, received a text, and in my haste to get the local movie listing, I was duped into a charge that appeared on my At&t bill. Very slick marketing! This company knows that movie listings are free, therefore what consumer would think that they will be charged for info. Well just click and receive their text message and you're done! $9.99

I kept receiving these texts about once a month. I didn't think anything of it until i just checked my at&t bill and they charged 9.99. i never subscribed nor clicked any of the links. this scam just took more than my patience, but my money too! i just replied stop, so we'll see how it goes.

I have not checked my at&T bill until last month. Hot-Hot News has billed my acccount thru AT&T $329.00 since Oct. 2010. AT&T says theirs hands are tied except for the last 60 days.

It texted me two times one with a fact on it and another say stuff about the charges. I hope it doesn't charge me. Do any of you know if it charges you?

I just noticed the hot-hot-news charge on my AT&T bill this month. Evidently they had charged me last month too but I did not realize it because I did not look at the itemized portion of my bill. Anyway I have never heard of this place and do not even have texting. I had texting blocked on my phone 6 months ago which had worked until about 3 weeks ago I out of the blue received a text from katv.com where I had previously signed up to receive their badweather alerts. I called AT&T immediatley and told them that my texting was supposed to be blocked. She could not tell me why all of a sudden I was receiving a text but she did put a block on it again. When I called for reimbursement of the charges for hot-hot-news she acted like I or someone with access to my phone must have accepted th

I was billed $9.99 without knowledge of a service or a request. I contacted my cell shone supplier and had ALL these type of text services blocked!!!

I phoned ATT, a lawyer that had been written up as having been involved in a class action suit against them, and then the number given above. The company had my number, "cancelled" my account and claims they will send a full reimbursement for all charges from the beginning. Let's see in 3-5 business days.

This is a spam-like action called "cramming". Call the company to have the charges reversed, then call your cell provider, then file a complaint with the FCC.
