just tried the "STOP" code... so remains to be seen if it worked. It messages back claiming I was unsubscribed.
How this happened: a typo-squatter for YouTube caught me off-guard. What is a typo-squatter? It is a website that has a URL which is almost the same as a legit website -- like "youttube.com" (notice the extra 't') instead of "youtube.com". It was very late, I was very tired, or I would not have fallen for it. The fake site pretended to be youtube offering me a prize... and I actually entered by cell# before getting suspicious -- again, I was very tired at the time, as I certainly know that youtube (google) would never offer a prize out of the blue like that... but I did not realize my typo, was very tired, and I generally trust google (youtube) so my guard was down.
